Our Roots

From Feed The Hunger Fund’s historical roots of first providing microloans to poor women in countries emerging from conflict and war, to its programs in Hawai’i and California, our mission has been to provide capital and business development services to those who are excluded from access to capital and opportunity. FTHF is a BIPOC-founded and led CDFI serving primarily small food enterprises, from “farm to fork”; as agriculture and restaurants are two industries typically considered too high risk and too low margin to be investable, and because food is the pathway to sustainability.
