FTHF has a flexible lending model that uses intentional repayment strategies to ensure long-term viability for our borrowers.

Loans range from $10,000 to more than $75,000 and repayment terms are between 18 months and 5 years. During our loan review process, thought is given to cash flow projections and sales trends so that repayment schedules can be catered to maximize financial health and available capital. We use a character-based credit analysis model that focuses on commitment to community, entrepreneurship training, and connection to community organizations; not just credit scores, assets, and net worth.

California & Hawaii each have a dedicated Program & Loan officer to walk through the lending process with borrowers from the pre-application phase to the end of the loan term. A loan approval process begins with the collection of relevant financial information, goes through a detailed character-centered credit analysis process, and then to a skilled loan committee that boasts representation from relevant sectors such as banking, business development professionals, agricultural lending, and leadership development.
